Feeling Perky?

Be sure not to miss this amazing offer from Monkey Mill – Invest £500 and you can get your hands on a unique water bottle.

I’m doubtful of the uniqueness claim – unless of course they only attract a single £500 level investor, which given they are only 27% funded with 9 days to go is a distinct possibility, if of course they don’t hit their target the water bottle will be very unique indeed.

If this offer isn’t for you, or if they miss their target, all is not lost. I’m going to have some limited edition CrowdPunter water bottles printed. If you tell me why you deserve one in the comments I’ll let you have one*

*Once I make up a design and have them printed. I’ll pick my favourite 10 comments (if I get that many) at the end of March (2017) and get them out to you in April, UK delivery only.

Feeling Perky?

I was inspired to write this post after seeing this unintentionally comedic ‘perk’ from ‘ME+EM’ on this morning’s commute.

So for investing £150 you get an update from the company and the founder. Still, a yearly update is not to be sniffed out in the crowdfunding world! It doesn’t get much better as you go up the scale either; at £2,500 you get to go to an ‘Investor Club’ event and see (and spend money on) the new collection not to mention all lower tier benefits. I always thought the word all implied plural or maybe they count the update and interview as two distinct items. The £10k and £20k categories give nothing tangible; a couple of opportunities to spend money or be encouraged to spend money. Not until you get to £50k to you get a discount! In all, a pretty poor excuse for a perk structure in my opinion.

That said, ME+EM only popped up on Crowdcube this morning and they we funded almost straight away – I haven’t worked out what happened there and I can’t really be bothered to dig any deeper, the pitch was more than enough to put me off.

The Crowd Punter.
